Prologue
Magic, super heroes, myths, and legends; all of which have only been what they are, stories and tales to enlighten the life of young ones. However, those children do not hear the real story. Not all with powers are perfect and wear a suit and braising symbol to set them apart. Sadly, super powers, as children and even adults call them, are all too real but are ignored by society. The idea brings out the imagination, yet they have never seen it for themselves.
The life of a power user, which is what we like to call ourselves, is brutal and not all powers are as amazing as those shown on Television, in fact, none are. Each and every power has a drawback and weakness. Each and every user has problems themselves, and you only tell your children it's great and beautiful. Yet, the stories knock down the insane and power driven others, the ones in black, the ones in labs, the ones made in labs; but that is who the real "super heroes" are.
Split into groups to hide themselves, make money, and some to knock down others, the power users walk among society and governments have hid the "magic" instances for way too long. Some have used the powered people as weapons or at least have tried to. Many were simply not allowed high rated jobs; however, the times did change. Cops, lawyers, entertainers, movie stars; all of which whom have taken a liking to allowing the magic beings on their side or simply no longer question it. Now it's, if you can manage the job and will not harm others, you have it, in fact, many in charge don't even really know themselves. Few jobs ask if you have powers if they are suspicious, most never even think of it. However, the fact that there is a chance has led many users to turn to the power groups.
The SC, The Spirit Council, is the first society created by the power users. Built up like a business and held together like a futuristic type of city, the locations scatter the globe. The base however is in America, Michigan in fact. The building hides as a large business tower within an unknowing, powerless city. This society as they wish to call it is controlled by council members, voting yes and no to what every problems come their way, sometimes taking too long on the situation. They are not kind to those with mental instabilities or who are considered outcasts in the human's society. The want the more pure and controlled power users to run and work for them.
This is where the backups come in. The ESC, The Evil Spirit Council, created them just to oppose the SC in their pure luxury. Stealing the most powerful children and uncontrolled minds, families found themselves missing beloved children. Families with or without powers couldn't even watch, for most where killed. So many barely took a breath before they were kidnapped and raised into the darkness of the insane and demonic underground. The ESC is set up much like an underground assassination or gang. You live in the tunnels and rooms and wait for assignments; filling your extra time with whatever you may please. There were no ranks; you were young or old, weak or strong. There was the leader and his second in command, possibly the worst of the group and the foretold hero of this story.
Heroes are told to be perfect in every way; strong, tall, beautiful, kind, and selfless. But this is a false statement. Heroes do not need to be any of this; in fact it'd be best to call this man of the ESC a legend, a true one. For he existed and still does, plus this new title allows for him to be more flexible in thought. People will not immediately believe of this super powered hero from another planet but of anything now. This legend is known as The Demon, Second in Command, Sir, even a father, but his true name is Daimon.
This legend I speak of, Daimon, is nowhere near what you would see as the target to observe or care about, at least at the time he was not. He was born with a dark black skin tone and the terrible issue of wounds to not heal. Scars where on his body since he was born, under his eyes and back, along his wrist and neck as if he was chained in the womb. Even a huge, designed scar of a diamond and thorns around it bleed through on his back. The similar stripes broke onto his shoulder as well. Not only did the scars leave you wondering his life, but he seemed weak and without muscle. His body was thinner than any child could live with, and it stuck will him just like the scars. Yet, nothing seemed to be strange in his ability to live or in strength even; he was much stronger than any other.
Daimon's eyes where blacker than his skin; staring seemingly lifeless without a pupil, cornea, or iris. Yet, he could see everything, too much of everything really. This child was born into insanity; his power awoke in him before he even breathed. He could only watch at this age. Watch as he viewed and felt every form of possible mental illness, bipolar disorder being the most prominent. He was not of a hero archetype but more so of a villain or victim. His childhood only showed his true colors, he wasn't completely tormented by this terrible power, and he bonded with it. He sported a dark and bleeding grin that ripped over his face without a sign of sadness in it. He let the smile and mentality win over and take control. He attacked kids on the block, even adults as powerful as a police man or as weak as an anorexic, but he could not harm his family, there seemed to be an invisible shield around them.
He was not stolen right away, sparing his family by staying hidden in the home. He was not alone in age; he had a twin, a sister. However, she looked nothing like him. She had white skin, at least the skin color considered white and had no scars. It's as though Daimon stole all possible deformities away from her. Thanks to her protecting his mind for a short while, he only was taken to the ESC when he was 5 and he was allowed to interact with his family once again by the age of 10. However, he wasn't the same. He was even darker and his insanity was taken in for pure evil and crime. His twin, Daisie, could feel that this insanity may love and bond with Daimon but the ESC made him far crueler than he ever should. So, she found the only thing she could do was help. Whether her style of fixing him was painful or not, it only added to his abilities and scars. Daisie's tactics somehow worked through the changed mind, not to mention him starting to want medication with her around. And so, he found street dealers and got what he could just so he could be mostly sane in interactions, the question of how kind, however, was obviously fairly mean. Nonetheless, Daimon was changed to a merged of his younger self and his ESC demon, still killing as told but also still safe around who he considered friends and children.
Through the years, he met Daisie's friends, and their twins of similar connections. However, there was only one he could not stand among them; Salerio. The tall, cocky male stripper whom always wanted his way with him, toying with Daimon's worst fear without knowing, was a far worse enemy than anyone else. The long haired, orange devil always yanked at his low riding pants or his suit collar once he moved to proper clothes. Daimon did not find any of his antics cute or appealing. In fact, he hated them and screamed out a claim of heterosexuality. He always left Salerio wanting more.
So that's where we end up, Daimon with his seeming homophobia and temper, Salerio's love and lust of Daimon, the ESC still controlling over the powerful ones they have stolen, and the SC reigning the strongest of all of the societies of powered beings.
Here is the Prologue to True Legends, to those who read it, please tell me how interested you are in it. I've worked hard on this story and I want to know if anyone is actually kind and interested enough to actually read my fiction, Thank You.

I'm really liking the system you have set up, and all of the organizations. Very cool ideas. :D
This seems to serve as more of a character backstory; I think this piece as a whole would be much improved by more 'showing' and less 'telling' ;) /shot by every writer everywhere for repetition.

You've got yourself a very cool character there!
